Rosy chip board Mini Album

Hi friends,

Mini album is a perfect gift to friends and family. It takes a bit of planning. I figured out that if we decide few things before staring the mini it goes quite smooth and quick. These are the few things which can be planned in advance :
1.Binding style
2.Pocket /inserts style
3.Patterned paper
4.Embellishments
5.Front Page

Step 1:
For my mini I decided to go for the binder rings option ( which is the easiest) and the album cover and pages were made with natural chipboard.
I trimmed all the chipboards with my scissors and then punched two holes with the crop a dile. Used two binder rings and my album was ready to get dressed...

Step 2:
The binder ring option does not allow a lot of thickness to be added on the pages as there is no extra space between them. I decided to create some pockets with Martha Stewart's punches which will just help to tuck in photo mats and tags, without adding much bulk. Here is a pic to explain it better..:)

Step 3:
I selected a gorgeous patterned paper by  kaiser craft called EXPRESSIONS which has the most amazing florals, roses mixed media type sheets and my fav butterflies... keeping a bit of relation between the pages I selected the pp and pasted them on the chipboard. Distressed with vintage photo and then added gesso all around the edges.

Step 4:
The embellishments had to be flat and so I picked some mini roses, fussy cut few butterflies from the same patterned papers stack and lots of tags from prima collection.
Here are few close ups pics...

Step 5:
Finally the icing on the cake ...:)
It's so important to decorate and plan the front page of the mini. It should carry the  theme and also look fabulous. I went crazy and added so many yummy things.

So here is the front page of my mini ...
I hope u like it and do give it a try...

Thanks for the love you shower on me through your comments ...
Take care

Shabby chic altered wooden spoon

Today's post is a short and sweet one ...
I was struggling to decide what should be the base for my post.. I felt like   creating a shabby chic project and rushed to my kitchen to grab an old weathered wooden spoon which had been lying neglected since ages ;)
Shabby chic is one of the most beautiful styles as its all pastels and so feminine ...

To begin with :
I coated the oldie with few coats of gesso and allowed it to dry completely. I observed if I use my heat tool to dry ,it starts oozing and bubbling .. It's better to let it dry naturally .
Once it was dry Ioaded it with lindy's stamp gang mists and prima color blooms (in shades of pink)
These sprays give a beautiful subtle sheen and colour to the project .
Distressed the edges with some vintage photo and it was ready to get dressed and embellished .

A close up -
I created a cluster of lace, mulberry flowers & pearls. To top it off added the beautiful butterfly charm and the adorable tiny bottle filled with glass glitter.
On the left hand side I added chains and charms to add some interest .

I also created a tag with the help of prima lattice stencil and Lindy's sprays.
Embellished it with the same products to match the spoon.

It's a cute gift for someone u really admire. I am gonna gift it to my mom and hang it at the kitchen door.

Hope u liked my post and give it a try ...
Stay blessed ...

Door hanger !

Hi crafty people...

I love altering MDF products not only because they are cute an adorable but also they r strong and have more life as compared to paper products..
Our store is full of such petty mdf pieces and you can give them the look you want. It can be shabby chic, vintage or whimsical....
For my project today I picked up the cute door hanger and altered it with the "love theme ".
It can be a perfect lil gift for someone u love and wanna make it visible day n night .
So let's begin...

I started with the plain mdf door hanger and painted the egdes with distress paint in vintage photo. Adding colour to the edges makes the project look more neat and finished.

I traced the door hanger over my pp and trimmed it carefully. Distressed it a bit and glued it on the hanger.

I adore the image of the whimsy stamp bird swing and wanted it for sure on this project. I stamped it with memento tuxedo black and coloured with prisma colours. Used a spellbinders die label 14 to cut it around. While keeping the paper in the die distressed the edges with the softtumbled glass distress ink. This leaves a cute white border. Layered it with a kraft coloured paper.

To add the special effects I added some
Wink of Stella on the roses and glossy accents on the birds.

To embellish the project I used my favorite mulberry roses and also created two rolled roses on my own.

I also added the cute key charm and angel wing charm to jazz up the project.

Finally added few stamped fussy cut pieces , lace , sequence trim, pearls , pollens and cheese cloth to add some oomph !

It's a cute project and fun to make..
I am sure you all will give it a try and mark your presence in your loved one's room.
Your feedback is very precious for me and it encourages me to do better day by day.

Waiting for ur valuable comments :)

Monogram

Hi friends,
It's always fun to create your own personalized decor. I was looking for a big alphabet since long but could not find it anywhere. So I decided to make my own. I drew "A" on a chipboard and cut it  thrice and glued them together so that my chipboard is as strong as wood.
That's quite easy ....seriously :)
And here is my very own monogram to be placed in my craft room .

I chose a beautiful paterned paper and adhered it with modpodge which made it super strong and shiny.

Distressed the egdes and added some liquid pearls to add some oomph !
It's extreemly important to embellish our projects well . Everyone has their own ways to jazz up the projects ,I love the mulberry flowers and the pollens which make a beautiful bouquet together .
My second most favourite embellishments are the metal charms and they go extreemely well with the flowers.
Have a look at this and create your own monograms and do share the pics with us.hope u like it!!!

A closer look at the bunch ..
I misted it with some glitter spray added the feather charm and a fussy cut butterfly.

This is the super cute gorjuss doll holding another awesome charm.

Our store is loaded with these adorable metal charms, flowers and pollen fillers .

Penny black card!

Hi crafty people ,
Hope you had a great festive time and I am sure you must have created some awesome gifts and cards for your near and dear ones. There was so much at www.crafterscorner.in to choose from and there are new additions in stock literally everyday.Let me know your wish list and would surely love to see what all you created using them and get inspired. For this Diwali I altered few pretty baskets and buckets to gift yummy confectioners to my friends and relatives.
Ok now coming back on today's post I wanted to work on a card which can be created with any flower stamp in the collection. I have an obsession for Roses and this penny black power petal stamp set was just so tempting....
I also love fussy cutting my images so that I can layer them and create detailed dimensional projects.
The rose in the stamp set is quite bold and perfect for copic colouring. I stamped it with memento tuxedo black inkon Tim Holts patterned paper wallflower and coloured it with copics.
Similarly I stamped the leaves in olive grove ink by memento.
For the card layer I created my own glittered patterned paper. It was super duper easy. I used just two products and I had an amazing subtle glitter paper.
I took my wonder tape and stuck it at desired.

I peeled the red backing and poured in lots of clear rock candy dry glitter and I got this beautiful thing ...

The next steps will be fun to see and I will do a tiny bit of explanations where ever needed.

I Used few penny black stamps-lost w/out you ,flower festival and Foliage Fancy to create some layers in the background .Heavily distressed the paper with Vinatge Photo and Walnut Stain. I also added loads of wink of Stella clear shimmer over the roses.

Added a bow and a clock charm with glue dots to jazz up the card and here is how the finished card looks like.

I had a great time creating the Bouquet and the glittery pp.
So grab your favourite flower stamp or die, some glitter and tacky tape to created similar cards and surprise your friends .
Please share your creations & leave a  comment which is so very important for me.
Take care !!!!

Lots of love

Fairy land garden

Hi crafty friends,

I am so excited to share this adorable project with you. Fairy land and castles attract all of us and trust me this kaisercraft fairy castle drawer is an absolute pride to own.
I wanted to give it a bright cheerful look to match my craft rooms settings.
The store is full of cute realistic miniatures  and we can find few in our kids toys sets.
The kaiser craft drawer came tightly packed and where in natural wood colour.

I assembled it and painted it with distress paints in peeled paint( the loveliest green possible..)
I adhered the pieces together with Fevicol as it works best with wood. The next step was to cut paper and stick it to give the finished look.

Then began the fun part ....adding the flowers and miniatures...
For the chair which was also in natural wood colour
I used few coats of distress paint- salty ocean and when it dried I added few strokes ofpicket fence to give it  weathered look. This is how it looked… placed a kettle charm and a scissor charm

I changed the drawers too by adding this beautiful Antique drawer pullers

It added so much style to it and they look so elegant and royal…

I used the pretty sea green framesas windows in my project and glued a tiny piece of lace for curtains.I created a mulberry rose garden and placed a Musical instrument too. You must check my fellow DT Ashmita's project to get an idea how she upgraded the frames by painting and distressing them.

Awww!! Did u spot the cute kitty ...?
It is from my daughters Barbie set and I placed it next to my chair. It's a great idea to use these adorable realistic pieces in projects..

Now coming to the next coolest thing... The pennant and the cabochons...they are so gorgeous and all u need to do is just add a pic behind the glass.

Here is how my Fairy drawer set looks from all the angles.
